How to Set up your Fundraising Page

First thing's first. You'll need your own personal fundraising page to get the word out and start raising funds for the National Training. Simply follow the steps below to create your page:

1. Go to and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Click on “account settings”. (If you're not logged in, then log in first).

2. Fill in your personal information.

3. Upload a profile image (it must be perfectly square), choose a headline, and write out why participating in the training is important to you underneath the prompt "Why do you support Democracy Spring?" Creating a short video to appeal to friends and family is also a great idea to make your page more personable. If you go this route, simply copy/paste the YouTube or Vimeo URL into the "Why do you support Democracy Spring?" field and it will automatically generate your video.

4. Set your fundraising goal. Consider setting a higher fundraising goal than the minimum: sometimes a higher goal will prompt bigger donations.

We recommend a training goal of $200, which will help cover essential costs of food, space, travel, and training materials. We are taking collective responsibility to raise funds so that everyone who is accepted can attend the training, regardless of their economic means. So just to be clear: regardless of how much you raise, you will be fully supported to attend the training. But the more we raise together, the more total people we can ultimately support to be there.

Once you have set up your fundraising page, share your page on social media and email it to friends and family to help spread the word. To get your personal page link, click on "view your public profile" the bottom of the page.

It should look something like this:
